Delighted to share my latest project with Tesco, one of the UK’s leading retailers! Tesco commissioned me to create a series of comic-inspired slides to communicate their new in-store technology in an engaging way for both customers and staff.

Cartoon woman shopping at Tesco, scanning items at checkout, verifying age with her phone, and using a mobile payment app.
Comic strip about grocery shopping and meal planning, featuring three characters and various shopping list illustrations.
Comic strip of a shopping trip at Tesco. First panel shows a woman receiving electric car charging, with a man greeting her. Second panel shows the man asking a woman to load a shopping list into his phone. Third panel shows two women splitting up in the store, choosing lipstick and makeup. Fourth panel depicts a woman admiring her selfie with eye shadow. Fifth panel shows her sharing the photo and rating it. Sixth panel features a woman telling the man her shopping group is in aisle 22, with a shopping assistant guiding her further.

To bring these ideas to life, I developed a visually engaging comic-style narrative. Through bold illustrations and dynamic panel layouts, each slide breaks down a different tech feature in an easy-to-follow, relatable way. By using character-driven scenarios, I aimed to demonstrate the real-life benefits of these innovations for both shoppers and employees.

Comic strip illustrating a grocery shopping story. A woman scans bananas at a self-checkout, which shows a happy face. The cashier, a woman with curly hair in a red shirt, explains that an item wasn't scanned properly, showing double scanning of soy products. The shopper is asked for age verification and gets approved. The cashier reminds her about forgotten items, and when she tries to pay, the payment is declined with a message that the payment didn't go through. The woman leaves the store with a shopping bag from Tesco.
A comic strip showing a woman shopping in a grocery store. In the first panel, she's told she's in aisle 3, cereal on her right. In the second panel, she picks organic cereal with a clubcard, showing calorie info. In the third panel, she uses her clubcard at the checkout. In the fourth panel, she receives her cereal. In the last two panels, she interacts with Tesco staff, requesting assistance, and pays with a card, receiving a receipt and leaving with groceries.
